Glasgow City Council wants to clear show people sites in the east end of the city to make way for regeneration for the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Plans which could see some people moved to a site at Halfway have been drawn up by South Lanarkshire Council.
However, it said no decision had been made on the future of the site.
The former Dalton special needs school building is currently being demolished.
Local councillors confirmed that they had been briefed on a proposal, drawn up by council officials and regeneration agency Clyde Gateway, suggesting the Dalton site as a potential new home for those being displaced from the Dalmarnock Road site. source: http://news.bbc.co.uk/
