The OC held a significant meeting with Mr Sujit Banerjee, Secretary, Tourism, Government of India to finalise the Games Family Hotel for Commonwealth Games 2010. The meeting was attended by Mr Mike Hooper, Chief Executive Officer of the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF), Mr Vijay K. Gautam, Chief Executive Officer (COO), OC and Mr Parvez Dewan, Chairman and Managing Director, India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC). After a detailed presentation made by the ITDC on the hotel’s facilities and services, it was decided to finalise Ashok Hotel, New Delhi, as the Games Family Hotel. The centrally-located Ashok Hotel is the ITDC’s flagship luxury hotel in New Delhi.
